The first book in a brand new Western adventure series from Dave P. Fisher!

As the war was nearing its end, Confederate Major Jason Wells was mortally wounded. Sergeant Nolan Callahan stayed by his side in a desperate attempt to get him medical help, but it was too late. In his final moments, the Major gripped Nolan's arm and said, "I have cattle land in Arizona. I give it to you. In Tucson, see a man named Seabrooke and tell him." Nolan was puzzled by the Major's dying words, as he knew nothing of Arizona, but he resolved to honor the request.

Just days later, Lee's surrender brought the war to a close. Nolan returned home to Arkansas, accompanied by his brothers and a Texas friend. When he shared the news of the Arizona land, they eagerly volunteered to join him on a journey to explore this new opportunity. Setting off on a treacherous, thousand-mile trek across the wild lands of West Texas, the group faced numerous challenges, from harsh elements to encounters with outlaws, Comanches, and Apaches. However, their grit and determination grew as they navigated the perils of the frontier.

Upon reaching Tucson, Nolan found Thaddeus Seabrooke at the land office. The property was part of an old Spanish land grant that Major Wells had purchased. Seabrooke delivered a stark warning to Nolan, "It's yours, if you can hold it against the Apaches, cattle thieves, Yankee carpetbaggers, and Emiliano Zamora. The odds are against you." Yet, this presented the opportunity to build a cattle empire. Undaunted by the daunting challenges, Nolan and his companions resolved to defend and cultivate the land, determined to overcome the odds.
